Description: This is a home designed for multi-generational living and future flexibility. First and foremost when there are five decision-makers with slightly varying tastes and preferences, I already know its going to be a fun month of design work. The key is to figure out what everyone wants early and go for the middle-ground, or as close to middle-ground as there can be.
This home has a master bedroom on the main-floor to accommodate the needs of parents approaching their golden-years. Accessibility was the focus along with making sure the communal areas of this home are central to this level to ensure family cohesiveness. The upstairs level is all about the younger generation. 3 siblings each with their private quarters and a loft for hanging out together attached to a common deck for the summer gatherings. To truly make the space complete, an office space was added.
We ensured the engineering design was done seemlessly. The end result is this SUPER cool custom modern house with everyone’s needs taken into consideration. This one is a Design + Build project done by Empire. Be sure to follow along on the construction journey.
